This was one of the last models O'Day produced, and it has a slightly French air about her. The O´Day 40 was drawn by Philipe Briand It began as the Jeanneau Sun Fizz 39 in a joint venture with the French builder. The legendary C. Raymond Hunt's firm was called to redesign it as the O'day 40 / Jeanneau Sun Fizz 40.

In light air or a blow, she'll track like a dream and delight you with her speed, finesse and sea-kindliness. This is a nice, cruise-equipped example. Below, she's very roomy, it provides sleeping space for a total of seven: two forward in the V-berth area, two on the U-shaped dinette to port and one on the starboard settee in the Main Saloon, and two on a double berth in the Aft stateroom.
